"Now is a great time to change your mind for the better.
I'd like to offer you the support to help make those changes easier.
Hypnotherapy allows us to communicate directly with the subconscious mind,
changing outdated behaviour patterns."
Peggy Melmoth BA (Hons) D.Hyp.
I have been in practice for more than six years and have a long standing interest in hypnosis, hypnotherapy and
psychology. My training was with the Lifeforce School
of Therapeutic Hypnosis at Regents Park College, London, and began with a
self-hypnosis course. I then followed this with a Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and a
Self Hypnosis Teacher Training Course. I have also undertaken additional
training at The London College of Clinical Hypnosis in the use of hypnosis for
childbirth. The power of hypnosis is a fascinating way to tap into the
sub-conscious mind and I regularly enjoy using self-hypnosis to improve my own
life, as well as therapeutic hypnosis to improve the lives of others. Most recently I used self-hypnosis to have the natural birth I wished for, and so my daughter was born on at home on our narrow boat, without any medical interventions.
Experience.
In addition to one-to-one therapy I give hypnotherapy
talks, and demonstrations of group hypnosis. What I like about hypnosis is that
it's a tool that empowers the client to help themselves. My work as a clinical
hypnotherapist has included treating depression, resolving phobias, managing
anger, stopping smoking and promoting more comfortable pregnancy and
childbirth. There are many more areas in which hypnosis can be used. To discuss
your personal requirements please do not hesitate to contact me via the contact page of this website, or by telephone on 07947 360998. I am happy to offer free, confidential
advice without obligation.

Career.
My past career has included working as the payroll
officer for Friends of the Earth and six years as the office manager in a music
recording studio. In 2002 I qualified as a hypnotherapist and changed direction
into NHS administration, entering the health service as a medical secretary and
quickly working up to administrative manager of a theatres and anaesthetics
department. I also undertook a secondment in the hospital PALS service (Patient
Advice and Liaison). My NHS experience in patient liaison and confidentiality
complemented my hypnotherapy practice, which I developed alongside my day
job.Following the birth of my daughter
last year I became especially interested in the use of hypnosis in childbirth,
whilst continuing to treat a variety of issues at my practice in central London.
Actually, who are you not to be?
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our
deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. Is it not our light, not
our darkness, that most frightens us? We ask ourselves, “Who am I to be
brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?” Actually, who are you not to be?Your playing small doesn’t serve the
world.There’s nothing enlightened
about shrinking so that other people wont feel insecure around you. We are all
meant to shine, as children do.We were
born to manifest the glory of God that is within us.It’s not just in some of us it’s in
everyone. And as we let our own light
shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.As we’re liberated from our own fear, our
presence automatically liberates others.”
