Your subconscious
mind can be ‘hypnotised’ positively or negatively by the conscious thoughts
that you, yourself choose to exercise in your mind!
Avoid using the
term ‘lose weight’ when you are talking about setting your goals. ‘Trying
to lose weight’, is one of the reasons why you may have failed in the past.
Instead, think about being a size and shape that would make you happy. Hypnotherapy
requires your conscious ‘willpower’ to be effective; using hypnosis does not
give you permission to overeat whilst in therapy! Success will require focusing
your conscious mind, in addition to the work that is done with hypnosis in your
subconscious mind.
As a rough guide
it can take up to four sessions to begin to achieve and maintain a healthy
size, shape and weight using hypnotherapy. It is helpful to remain focused on
the benefits and rewards of changing your lifestyle. These are personal to the individual
but can include;

· Enjoying having more energy
· More confidence
· Enjoying more control over your life
· Feeling more mentally calm
· Looking more healthy and attractive
· Receiving congratulations and compliments from friends and family
· Feeling happier and enjoying life to the full
The hypnotic
program includes suggestions for improved mental calmness, physical relaxation,
confidence and competence. It also focuses on being more in control, choosing
healthy food, sticking to your decision, and eating sufficiently for your
physical needs.
We will set the
goal to achieve and maintain the size, shape and weight that pleases you.
The hypnotic
suggestions encourage you to become more and more attracted to eating and
drinking food and drink that is healthier; food that supports this goal that you
have set yourself.
